Get Fit Challenge: Week 2 - Hydrate

Week 2 of our Get Fit Challenge and we hope you have had a chance to commit this time to YOU!

This week we are focusing on water consumption! A good rule of thumb is to drink eight 8-oz. glasses of water a day. However, if you're working out, you'll want to increase your fluid intake to make up for lost water (aka SWEAT!), and you'll want even more if you're nursing or pregnant.

Why is water so GOOD for us?! Besides being an essential component of our bodies, water helps:

- boost our metabolism

- keep us alert

- prevent headaches

Challenge: If you tend to drink soda, try replacing a soda with a glass of water (or sparkling flavored water, just make sure there's no added sweeteners!) -- your body will THANK YOU!!!!

Need some more H20 intake tips?

*Set an alarm

*Use an app like Waterlogged (FREE) or WaterMinder ($1.99)

*Draw hash marks on a reusable water bottle and check them off as you go about your day!

*Get a new water bottle, drink out of a mason jar, or use a straw!
