During high school and college I played soccer, I was not a runner. My first “run” was when I was 19 living in Hawaii. I went on a 2 mile run that I had to stop many times throughout. A few months later I ran my first race which I wore a camelbak for, I had no idea what I was doing! Over the next 6 months I began running more and more and then decided to train for a marathon. Once I completed the Honolulu Marathon I finally figured out what a “runner’s high” is all about. I was hooked!
Since those many years ago, I have run countless 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons, 4 full marathons, a Tough Mudder, and 4 Ragnar races. One of my goals in life is to run a race in every state. I currently have 33 states completed! Needless to say, I have found a passion in running.
I am also a Registered Nurse, CPR Instructor, and mom of 3! I know how hard it can be to find the motivation to get back out there or to get started after having a baby. We are tired and often feel we have nothing extra to give. I am excited to be a certified Run Coach for Fit4Mom and look forward to encouraging you to take the time for yourself and to help you reach your running goals!
