If you’ve ever dreamed of making it through the finish line but don’t know how to get started, this program is for you. We will train you in baby steps (or strolls) even if you’ve never run before. This class is designed for the beginner and to accomplish a 10K run (6.2 miles). You’ll learn about running form, injury prevention, increasing speed and distance, and choosing the right shoe.
Classes will meet for 8 weeks and will finish with a real 10K race, the Ashburn Farm Thanksgiving Day 10K/5K/2K. We will meet as a class one day per week (with bonus weekday training) and you will run 1-2 days per week on your own or with other club members.
