Owner of FIT4MOM Ashburn
Certified Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Fit4Baby, and Body Back Instructor

I found FIT4MOM Ashburn when it began in January 2014, when my son was 11 months old, and I am SO grateful I did! Not only did I love being able to get a great workout at Stroller Strides classes, all while having my son with me, but I was able to meet other moms and get the support all moms NEED! I was very excited to become a certified Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby instructor in June 2014 because I wanted to inspire other moms and help them achieve their fitness goals! I wanted to continue reaching and inspiring more moms, so I became certified in Body Back and Stroller Barre.

When the opportunity to purchase FIT4MOM Ashburn arose, it was a no-brainer for me! I knew I wanted to continue to help give moms the strength for motherhood and provide the village that every mom should have! I am so thankful for my amazing team and Our Village!

During high school and college I played soccer, I was not a runner. My first “run” was when I was 19 living in Hawaii. I went on a 2 mile run that I had to stop many times throughout. A few months later I ran my first race which I wore a camelbak for, I had no idea what I was doing! Over the next 6 months I began running more and more and then decided to train for a marathon. Once I completed the Honolulu Marathon I finally figured out what a “runner’s high” is all about. I was hooked!
Since those many years ago, I have run countless 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons, 4 full marathons, a Tough Mudder, and 4 Ragnar races. One of my goals in life is to run a race in every state. I currently have 33 states completed! Needless to say, I have found a passion in running.
I am also a Registered Nurse, CPR Instructor, and mom of 3! I know how hard it can be to find the motivation to get back out there or to get started after having a baby. We are tired and often feel we have nothing extra to give. I am excited to be a certified Run Coach for Fit4Mom and look forward to encouraging you to take the time for yourself and to help you reach your running goals!

I am the proud momma to a 3-year-old little man who keeps me on my toes. I started attending Stroller Strides classes at the end of the summer of 2015 and totally fell in love, not only with the workout, but also with everything else that comes with being a part of the Fit4Mom village. I really wish I had found Fit4Mom sooner.

After having my son, my old back problems had gotten worse and my go-to-exercise, running, was not helping. I really needed to start cross training (I hated cross training), but I wanted to find something that would allow me to bring my child. Once I found Fit4Mom Ashburn, I never looked back. Not only am I stronger than I have ever been, I’ve also gotten so much more from the Fit4Mom village.

Being a stay at home mom, I found it hard to leave the house if I didn’t have something going on. Having class to attend got me out of my rut and gave me a reason to get up and get out of the house. Not only has Fit4Mom Ashburn been beneficial to me, but it’s also been so great for my son. We did not have friends who were parents, so he didn’t have many opportunities to socialize with other children. Thanks to Fit4Mom Ashburn he now gets a play date everyday (and the bonus is he gets to burn off some energy after class too).

I love Fit4Mom and believe in it so much that I decided to become a certified Fit4Baby and Stroller Strides instructor in February 2016. I love being a part of such a wonderful community and I am so thankful to have found Fit4Mom Ashburn.

I am the proud mama of a sweet girl, Samantha, who is 2, and a fur baby, Donald. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to help people and that is why I became of Doctor of Physical Therapy. For the last 5 years I have been working in a hospital with post-surgical geriatric patients as a Geriatric Board Certified Specialist; however, it became glaringly obvious that so much we deal with as we get older can be prevented with proper fitness and a healthy lifestyle. So I began to look into the wellness and prevention aspect of Physical Therapy. When I had my daughter, though, I found a perfect fit with Fit4Mom. We started going to classes once I was cleared by my OB, but didn't start coming regularly until my daughter was one. With ever class it was a win win for both if us: a community for both of us, a chance to connect and play, a chance for my daughter to see me being active and healthy (she's even pretending to do Stroller Strides now at home!). After two years of thinking about becoming an instructor I decided to go for it and it has been one of the best decisions I have made! I get to use my knowledge as a Physical Therapist, take a step into the realm of fitness and prevention, be a part of an amazing community full of beautiful mamas, all while showing my daughter hat it means to be strong and healthy! I can't wait to see where this journey takes us!

I started attending Stroller Strides when my son was just 8 weeks old in April 2015. Fitness has always been a large part of my life and as a new stay-at-home mom, I had to figure how to continue to meet my own health and fitness needs. I struggled finding childcare for my son while I went to the gym, so Stroller Strides was the perfect solution! At the time, it was simply that—a solution to meet my fitness needs. However, as I attended more classes and got to know the other moms, I really started to enjoy the community and realized it was more than just a class. It also enabled me to spend this time with my son and teach him the importance and fun of fitness.

In the summer of 2015, I decided to pursue my personal trainer certification for my own betterment, with no real intent on using it for a job. In September 2015, I became a Certified Fitness Trainer with the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) as well as completing my certification as a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. Shortly after, I decided to become a Stroller Strides instructor, so by January 2016 I had my Stroller Strides certification and started teaching!

I love teaching Stroller Strides and helping other moms on their fitness journey while building relationships and spending time with their kids. In my short time with FIT4MOM, I’ve watched some of the kids grow up and you can see them truly enjoy class and the interaction with their moms and other kids. It’s an honor to be a part of this team and Our Village!

I am the proud mama of an adorable little man Lukas, who is 2 years old and we are expecting another little man in March of 2018.

I first attended a Stroller Strides class in my hometown of Houston, Texas in October of 2016 when my son was 11 months old. I remember kicking myself thinking "why didn't I join sooner!" We relocated to Ashburn three months later and as a stay-at-home mom in a new area I was desperate to get out of the house. I immediately looked up FIT4MOM. My first class was in January of 2017 and the night before I received a text from instructor Eliza saying she looked forward to meeting me and my little one. That text alone made me feel so welcome. I remember telling my husband that night "look! I got a text!" I felt so far away from home, family and friends and as soon as I introduced myself I felt I was a part of a community.

At first attending Stroller Strides was just a way for my son and I to get out in the morning, but quickly I started making "mom friends." My husband could always tell by my mood if I went to class that day and it gave me another way to interact with my son. I love that he can watch mommy get strong and that exercise isn't a have to, but a want to. My son also made play buddies and loved the crafts and play dates after classes. The connection I searched for I had found.

I cherish FIT4MOM and the connections I have made and wanted to be involved in someway. I became a stroller strides instructor in August of 2017. As a former elementary school teacher I love that I can combine workouts with songs and activities for the kiddos. I don't know how many times I get asked "Wait! You workout with the baby in the stroller?" and the answer is "Yup! We sure do!" I am beyond happy to be apart of this amazing village of strong mamas!!!
