Week 8: The Results Are In!

The results are in! As a group we lost 37 pounds and 30.5 inches! I personally lost 14 lbs and 11.5 inches. I’m so happy with those results and hope to continue the progress on my own. My goal was to have my pre-pregnancy clothes fit. Now that I’m there, I want to stick with the healthy lifestyle and keep the weight loss going.

Remember that pumpkin I told you about? We used them for burpees, jump squats, running, and core exercises. Who knew a pumpkin could be used during a workout?! :) In addition to the deck of cards workout, this is another routine I can easily do at home. And if pumpkins aren’t in season I could use a watermelon (or actual weights).

At the end of class Kim shared a video she put together for our group. It was a compilation of photos and videos she took during our 8 weeks together. The soundtrack was perfect, Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.” I think the chorus sends a great message to anyone looking to make a change:

And I don't really care if nobody else believes

In addition to receiving all of our stats like body measurements and workout improvements, Kim included quotes that the other group members wrote about us.

Lindsey made so much growth, keep at it!

Determined to succeed and improve which encourages others to try their best.

She was always so motivating and cheered us on.

It was great to read those kind words from everyone and to know that our time together made a difference. I will definitely miss our workouts together but we will keep in touch via our Facebook group.
