Week Five

I’m officially down 10 lbs and at my pre-pregnancy weight! I was glad to see I lost something as the past week was challenging. I didn’t get in any additional workouts and I met some girlfriends for brunch which means I didn’t stick to my meal plan 100%. I’m still going strong though and one “cheat” meal isn’t going to derail all of my progress.

Today’s workout was challenging! Kim had us do 100 reps of all of the exercises, starting with burpees. I’ll admit, when she explained the workout I immediately went to the negative thoughts. 100 is such a big number and I was thinking about how hard it would be. I decided to break up each exercise into groups of 25 to make it more manageable. The first group of 25 burpees wasn’t too hard. Then, I transitioned to 25 lunges and then 25 crunches. Going back to 3 more rounds of 25 burpees was HARD. But, I finished it!

I keep thinking about the quote from a few weeks ago, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.” This was a mental workout for me. Of course it was physical too but I had to keep pushing out those negative thoughts. 100 reps!? No, it’s only 4 rounds of 25 reps. I can do this!
